I really like this illustration, Tom. It's a great image, I like her pose and expression. And I couldn't believe when you said you did it all in PS. It has such a handmade feel to it, just like watercolor. Great work!!
As everyone has written, I thought it was watercolor as well! Nice work! I too am working on my digital skills, when I can but nothing worth posting as yet. Thanks for visiting my blog Tom, and yes, that couple was just kissing! That's "love' for you, eh?! Do you know, your self portrait is still one of my favorites!
Me too, me too! I could have sworn this was watercolor. Really cute image, too. Hmmmm. I've been trying to learn Illustrator. Perhaps I should learn Photoshop!
Thanks, Alicia! I don't really have a preference. I like the control I have with digital, but also want what I do in Photoshop to look traditional. Getting that look requires more work (at least right now) than just creating with pencil and paint. I guess it just depend on my mood. :P
You have to find something unique in the book which perhaps even the author was not entirely aware of, and that's what you hold on to and that's what you add to the pictures... a whole other story that you believe in... that you think is there. ~ Maurice Sendak

You tricked my eye. I thought you had done it by hand. It's really great. I love the feeling of the piece and it has nice composition too.

I can just hear the 'plop plop blop' of the air bubbles. Wow! You are a master of Photoshop, Tom. (I must resolve to learn this year!)

Do you like working digitally more than traditional?
