IF: Pet Peeve(d)

Fed up with tasteless tin can goop, Fido refused to eat one more morsel.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As usual I am going with the first thing that came to mind. I had a more elaborate idea, but getting this dog to this point took so much time, this is all I was able to get. The hardest part was his legs. I mean, holy cow! I must have drawn and erased 20 times just on the legs. While I still think there is improvement to be made, this looks a lot better than my first iterations! Colored in Photoshop.

I think it can be so frustrating sometimes--just trying to get what you want. The legs look great to me, lots of action.

Great Tom! Love the action and the pose. Just a few lines in the right places for the movement! The legs came out perfect. He, he.. its great Tom! :o)

Thanks to all who have commented. I think I just need to move past the realism I get caught up in when I draw. I know it's illustrated, but part of me still wants it to look real, if that makes sense! :)

Great sense of movement with your 'peeved pooch'. Legs look great! Our cats would agree, none of that tinned stuff for them, although they are quite happy if the tin is full of tuna! Many thanks for adding a link to my blog, will do the same :)

Thanks, Bee! And thanks for the link back!

Hi! Your (the dog's) legs worked out fine. You even have a secondary movement going on, as his body wants to twist with his throwing arm going towards the bowl and his other arm going away from it. Nice dimension to the bowl and food. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Van Dyke. I appreciate your encouraging words!

Hee heeee, Good one! It turned out great and the idea is hilarious.

I know what you mean about trying to get a certain thing just right and erasing and starting over. Some days, things come easy and some ideas just seem to require more effort.

Your efforts paid off, it's great!
